Free vs Pro¶
IPTVBoss has a full core editing workflow in the Free plan. Pro removes the main content limits and unlocks advanced EPG, layout, automation, cloud, AI, and XC Server features.

The limits and locked controls below reflect the current application behavior. Pro user capacity depends on the subscribed tier; account status and available limits are shown in Settings → IPTVBoss Pro Settings.

Free plan workflow¶
The Free plan is enough to build a small personal setup:
- Add up to two M3U or Xtream Codes sources.
- Add up to five EPG sources and map their channels manually when needed.
- Create up to two layouts.
- Organize groups and channels in Layout Editor.
- Create up to two users and assign their layouts.
- Generate the required M3U and EPG output.
Free accounts can use the core editor without activating a Pro token. When a source, EPG, layout, or user limit is reached, remove unused items or activate Pro before adding more.
What Pro unlocks¶
Pro controls are marked with a lock in the application until a valid Pro subscription is active. The Pro-only application areas include:
- Sources → EPG Browser, Universal EPG, Prefix Auto-Removal, Custom Tags, AED tools, and sports-data refresh tools.
- Layout Editor → automatic EPG assignment, stream and programme playback, linked layout groups, and advanced EPG/group tools.
- Layout → layout import/export, channel-list export, and EPG layout overrides.
- Settings → AI Settings, Theme Settings, native Sync Schedule, Email Notifications, cloud database backup/synchronization, and XC Server.
After activating Pro, confirm that the lock icons have been removed. Pro access takes effect in the current application session; a restart is not required. Existing Free-plan data remains available after an upgrade; Pro expands what can be added, generated, or synchronized.
